Konferencja i hackathon FPGA – III edycja

Nadchodzi trzecia edycja międzynarodowego wydarzenia FPGA Hackathon and Conference, organizowanego przez pracowników firmy Nokia Kraków. Gorąco zachęcamy do udziału wszystkie osoby zainteresowane technologią układów programowalnych. Do startu wystarczy podstawowa wiedza i umiejętności z zakresu programowania układów FPGA. Wydarzenie odbędzie się w dniach 25-27 listopada, w formie stacjonarnej lub zdalnej, a udział w nim jest bezpłatny. Organizatorzy zapewniają dostęp do oprogramowania i płyt ewaluacyjnych z układami Intel Cyclone V, cenne nagrody, dobrą zabawę i pożytecznie spędzony weekend.

W dwóch pierwszych edycjach hackathonu zespoły z naszego Wydziału zajęły I i III miejsce.

Słowem wstępu:

“We have reached Mars, colonized it, developed the economy and have the resources to grow even more.

The Mars surface has been covered with a number of mega-cities, each of which, to a greater or lesser extent improves the quality of life for everyone on the planet. There has been a high degree of technological development in fields that are providing a basic life support. Despite that many aspects of daily life still requires improvements.

Once there was a time when everyone thought that the mission is doomed to be a complete failure, due to the very harsh conditions on the Red Planet. However, brave pioneers have proved everyone wrong and now the mission is a colossal success. This great achievement inspired the “Martian Base Management” to announce a call for “Engineers” for the new Project. The best recruits, in addition to be placed onto the “Hall of Fame” will have a real impact on improving everyone’s living conditions on the planet.

As a participant, you will be assigned to a team representing one particular city. Within a given team, based on the specifications you receive, you will have to create “Helpers” – simple but functional drones that will help in everyday Martian life.

The condition for receiving a contract is to complete the tasks presented in 24 hours – only then the Planetary Board will receive clear feedback that the time is right for this type of undertaking, and those selected in the competition are very likely to meet the next challenges that surely will arise as the Project evolves.”
